The Illustrious Official College of Dentists of Cádiz currently and officially represents the dentists of the province of Cádiz.
History and Consolidation
From 1988 to 2019, with massive support from the membership during those legislatures, the work of the Board of Directors, led by Dr. Ángel R. Rodríguez Brioso, was recognized many times for its significant achievements. He became the first President in the history of the College after the promulgation of Decree 150/1998, of July 14, which separated this institution from the College of the IV Region (which until then grouped the four provinces of Western Andalusia), acquiring its own and independent legal personality after many years of struggle and advocacy.
Fight Against Professional Intrusion. During this period, an impressive effort was also made in the fight against professional intrusion, establishing action guidelines that were adopted as a model at the national level.
Training and Professional Development
While this ongoing fight for the defense of the professional dignity of dentists from Cádiz has been crucial, no less important has been the effort in the training of these professionals. The Continuing Education courses in various subjects related to Odonto-stomatology, organized by this Official College, are highly regarded nationally for the quality of their speakers, content, and organization, attracting a massive influx of professionals from both our province and other parts of Spain.
Recognition of Trajectory
In this stage as a completely independent College, we express our respect, gratitude, and recognition to all the previous Presidents and Boards of Directors who preceded us in this work. To those who are no longer with us, our sincere remembrance and tribute to their memory. To those who remain, our recognition, as they paved the way we continue to walk today. It is our duty to value the achievements of the past and strive to build a hopeful future.
Tribute to Outstanding Professionals
To Drs. Enrique Azagra Rodríguez, Joaquín Velázquez Repeto, and Gonzalo de Laa García, our highest regard, wrapped in sincere feelings of deep admiration.
